Choose a question that benefits from showing
A short demonstration can explain a course exercise, product setup or what happens in a session. A video made only to repeat a vague slogan adds little. Keep the main answer and next step in page text so a visitor is not forced to watch.
Make the video usable
Give it a descriptive title and an accurate summary. Add and review captions; automatic captions can get names and specialist terms wrong. Include a transcript or equivalent explanation where useful. Check playback and controls on a phone. Avoid unexpected autoplay with sound.
A video is not a shortcut to citations
A visible embedded player does not mean a text-only inspection watched or understood the video. Google has separate requirements for video indexing, including pages where video is the main content. VideoObject structured data should describe a real accessible video and use accurate details. It does not guarantee a video result or an AI mention.

Show a task, then explain it in text
A teacher demonstrates how to thread a machine. Beside the video, the page lists the steps, required tools and a link to course details. A visitor can use the instructions with the sound off and without watching the full recording.
One thing to try
Try it on one public page
- Pick one customer question that is easier to answer visually.
- Add a useful demonstration, summary and reviewed captions.
- Put essential facts and the next step in ordinary page text.
- Check the player while signed out and on a phone.
How to check the result
- Play, pause and enable captions using available controls. Check that the embed actually loads.
- Read the page without playing the video. Confirm that the essential answer is still there.
- Do not record “video understood by AI” based on a page text inspection.
Keep the page address, date and evidence. A page improvement is not a promise of rankings or AI citations.
