Find practical information.
Make meal times, donation drop-offs, location and contact details easy to find without searching through social posts.
Website · Social media · Events
A complete website for a volunteer-led kitchen: find a meal, volunteer, donate or discover a fundraiser. We built the English and Portuguese site, set up its social media and managed events from planning and promotion through to delivery.

Event results / Vine & Fire
Our work with the kitchen extends into its events. Vine & Fire brought volunteers, local businesses and guests together for a fundraising dinner at Arvad Vineyard.
We handled planning, promotion, ticketing, sponsor coordination and delivery on the day, alongside the website and social media. These are event outcomes, achieved with the kitchen, volunteers, partners and guests.

The organisation
Portimão Soup Kitchen provides meals and a welcome to people in the local community. Volunteers, donated food and fundraising keep that work going.
The website needs to serve several audiences at once: someone looking for the kitchen, someone offering a few hours, a regular donor and a business interested in supporting an event.
The challenge
Make meal times, donation drop-offs, location and contact details easy to find without searching through social posts.
Give volunteering, food donations and financial support their own clear routes, rather than one vague request to get involved.
Give each fundraiser room for its own story while keeping the kitchen and its purpose at the centre.
What we designed and built
We designed and developed the full site, from its page structure and visual design to bilingual navigation, donation links and event galleries. Each part gives visitors a clear way to understand the work and take part.
We separated the core journeys: find the kitchen, volunteer, give money or explore an event. The homepage brings together service days, food drop-off windows, directions and the community’s story. Dedicated giving and event pages provide room for the details.
This structure helps someone looking for a meal reach practical information, while a potential supporter can explore the ways to help.
We built a shared navigation system and visual language around warm colours, clear typography and photographs of the people behind the kitchen. Page layouts adapt for desktop, tablet and phone, with a compact menu on smaller screens.
Fundraisers can have their own identity. Vine & Fire uses a distinct design for the vineyard dinner while keeping routes back to the kitchen and its donation page.
We built separate English and Portuguese versions of the homepage, giving pages and event experiences. Language links connect the corresponding pages, so visitors can switch without starting their journey again.
Behind the scenes, language annotations tell search engines which versions belong together. The same site can serve Portuguese-speaking residents and the international community.
We designed the Friends page around a straightforward choice: monthly support at a set amount or a one-off gift of the donor’s choosing. The page explains the purpose of giving before asking visitors to choose.
Each option connects to its own Stripe-hosted payment page. The website handles the explanation and choice; Stripe handles the payment step. Supporters have a direct route from interest to giving.
We built a central place to discover fundraisers, then gave individual events space for the venue, chef, partners and attendance information. The hub also connects visitors to past events and independent press coverage.
After an event, the page becomes a record of what happened: photographs, the story and the fundraising result. The work remains visible for future guests, sponsors and supporters.
For Vine & Fire, we developed a 170-photo gallery with thumbnail navigation and a larger image viewer. Visitors can move through photographs with on-screen controls, keyboard arrows or a swipe on a phone.
Thumbnail assets and lazy-loaded images help avoid loading every full-size photograph at once. The gallery gives the evening a lasting home beyond a social-media post.
We added page titles, descriptions, canonical addresses and a sitemap, alongside structured data describing the organisation. Language annotations connect the English and Portuguese versions for search crawlers.
Social-sharing metadata supplies titles and preview images when links are shared. These foundations make the site easier to describe, discover and pass on.
We set up the kitchen’s social presence and connected the site to Facebook and Instagram. Event pages, social activity and press links give supporters several ways to follow the work and return to the website.
Our contribution also covered event planning, promotion, ticketing, sponsor coordination and delivery on the day. The website supported that wider work, with the event outcomes shown separately above.

We gave the event its own visual identity and space for the chef, venue and partners. The recap keeps the evening accessible through a five-part story and a 170-photo gallery with swipe and keyboard navigation.

What we delivered
A live bilingual website, a dedicated giving page, an events hub, individual event experiences and connected social channels.
The result is a practical place to understand the kitchen and choose how to get involved, with room for new events and stories as the organisation’s work continues.
