The brief

Show the business.
Make enquiries easy.

The site needed to introduce a personal, home-based service and answer the questions owners ask before leaving their dog with someone new.

We organised the experience around the setting, daily routine, people and practical details, then connected those sections to a clear booking-request route.

Design & development

How we built
the experience.

A structure that answers questions.

We built the main service story into one guided homepage: the setting, a typical day, the resident dogs, Sophia, photographs and the booking request. Each section gives owners another piece of information before they make contact.

Anchor links provide shortcuts through that story. Contact details, privacy information and terms have their own pages, keeping supporting information accessible without interrupting the introduction.

A visual identity carried through the site.

Warm colours, large serif headings and layered dog photographs give the opening screen a personal feel. We carried the typography, colour palette and card treatments through the service sections, gallery and booking area.

The photographs do practical work too: they introduce the real people, dogs and surroundings that an owner is being asked to trust.

Layouts built for different screens.

We used responsive CSS with layout changes for wider screens, tablets and phones. Multi-column sections and image compositions adapt as the available space changes.

The same content remains available across screen sizes, so someone browsing on a phone can still understand the routine, find the price and reach the booking section.

Navigation and considered movement.

A sticky navigation bar keeps the main routes within reach as visitors scroll. JavaScript updates its appearance after scrolling and reveals sections as they enter the screen.

The motion code checks the visitor’s reduced-motion preference before enabling these effects. Movement adds character while respecting people who have asked for less animation.

A booking request with the right context.

We connected the booking calls to action to a dedicated section that explains pricing, first visits and the meet-and-greet. From there, a Tally form collects the dog’s details, temperament and preferred days.

This is a request-and-confirm journey. It gives the business information to assess the fit and arrange the next step; submitting the form does not automatically reserve a place.

Practical routes to contact.

Phone, email and map links sit alongside the booking route, so visitors can ask a question or find the location directly. The photo gallery and social links give them more ways to get a feel for the service.

We brought opening days, drop-off and collection times, pricing and first-visit guidance into the page, making those details part of the enquiry journey.

Behind the pages

Built for discovery
and sharing.

Local business information in the code.

We added LocalBusiness structured data describing the business, its Portimão location, service area, contact details, map and social profiles. This gives search systems an explicit description of the business alongside the visible page content.

A clear route for search crawlers.

An XML sitemap lists the homepage, contact, privacy and terms pages. The robots.txt file points crawlers to that sitemap, while the homepage’s canonical URL identifies its preferred address.

Page titles and descriptions.

The homepage includes a descriptive browser title and meta description. These communicate what the site is about when its link appears outside the page itself.

A prepared preview when shared.

We included social-sharing metadata with a title, description and a dedicated preview image. These give platforms such as WhatsApp the information to present a recognisable link preview when someone recommends the business.

What we delivered

Designed, built
and live.

A complete responsive website, from visual design and page structure to the booking-form connection, contact pages and search metadata. The delivered site brings the service, people, photographs and practical details together in one place.

The finished site gives Savannah one place to introduce its service and receive booking requests. View the live build to explore the design and follow the enquiry journey.
