How do I make my page easier to find and follow?

Give the page a clear title, organise it with meaningful headings and connect it to relevant pages using descriptive links.

The title and description label the page

The page title is used in the browser tab and can influence a search result’s title. The description is a short summary that search services may use. Neither forces the wording shown in search or an AI answer. Make each describe this page, not every service you sell.

Headings organise the visible information

Use the main heading to name the page’s subject. Use section headings for topics such as course format, experience needed and price. Choose heading levels in the editor for structure, rather than making ordinary text large and bold.

Links help people reach the next useful page

An internal link goes to another page on your website. Link the service page from a relevant menu or overview. Where it helps, connect it to pricing, the teacher’s biography or a related guide. Use labels such as “See course dates” so the destination is clear.

A page can exist without being easy to discover. Test links in both directions: can you reach the page, and can you continue from it? Do not change an established page address just to fit more keywords.

Made-up example / Career coach

A specific course title

“Interview practice for first-time managers | Example Coaching” says more than “Home”. A section called “What happens in a session?” and a link called “See session prices” help visitors decide what to do next.

One thing to try

Try it on one public page

  1. Write a page title and short description that match the real offer.
  2. Read the headings on their own. Replace vague labels with the topics underneath.
  3. Add one relevant link to the page from elsewhere on your website.
  4. Follow the page’s next-step link on your phone.

How to check the result

  • Open the published page and check the browser tab and heading order.
  • Compare the returned title and description with your intended text if you have an inspection report.
  • Follow every link you changed. A detected link alone is not a completed booking test.

Keep the page address, date and evidence. A page improvement is not a promise of rankings or AI citations.
